The Estonian Percussion Group has been active since 2020. Their repertoire ranges from meditative soundscapes to richly pulsing rhythms and dense, virtuosic textures. As percussion ensemble repertoire is still relatively limited in music history, the musicians are also resourceful arrangers in their own right.
Tonight’s concert features only original works, with a special emphasis on newly composed music by Estonian composers. The ensemble has been selected for the Estonian Cultural Endowment’s two-year residency program.
